Student details, waivers and emergency contacts, handled
At most drop-in classes, registration is a paper form in a folder, a half-filled spreadsheet, or nothing at all: people pay at the door and nobody has their mobile number, let alone an emergency contact or a signed waiver. That is a risk to the business the night someone is hurt, a dispute starts, or a parent asks what you hold about their child. ClassMetrix fixes it at the door: a new student scans your QR code, fills in their details on their own phone, agrees to your waiver and code of conduct, and appears on tonight's roll with the agreement recorded. The owner has one complete, private register instead of a folder.

What goes missing without it
- Contact details. Regulars you have seen for a year whose surname you don't know, and no way to tell everyone the hall is closed.
- Emergency contacts. The one thing you need in the one minute you need it.
- Waivers. Signed for some, lost for others, never updated when the wording changed.
- A code of conduct. Social dance in particular needs one, and it only protects anyone if you can show it was agreed to.
- Consent. Who said no to being filmed, and who is under 18 and whose parent signed.
How ClassMetrix handles it
- Register once, by QR code. The code sits on the desk. A new student opens the form on their own phone: name, mobile, email, emergency contact, how they heard about you. No account, no app, nothing to install.
- Waiver and code of conduct built in. Your wording, agreed to on the form, with the date recorded. Parents sign for their children.
- No phone? The desk helps. The same form opens on the door person's phone, or the details are typed in and the agreements read out and recorded as agreed verbally.
- Straight onto tonight's roll. The new person appears at the top of the list with the waiver marked done, and the door just checks them in.
- Flags the teacher can see. "No filming" and "had a free trial" show on the name, before the phone comes out or the free class is given twice.
- Private by design. Emergency contacts and signed agreements are visible to the owner and admins only. A volunteer on the door can't see them, and neither can we use them.
- Yours to take. The owner can download the whole student list at any time.
Bringing an existing list
If you already have students in a spreadsheet, an admin can upload them from a CSV template (name, mobile, email, emergency contact and a few flags) in one go. Students who registered on paper can scan the code next visit to agree to the waiver and conduct on their phone, so the register fills itself over a few weeks.

Questions
Do students need an app or an account?
No. They scan a QR code once and fill in a short form in their phone's browser. After that the door checks them in by name.
Can I use my own waiver and code of conduct wording?
Yes. The owner sets the text in studio settings, and every new registration records agreement to the wording in force that day.
What about children?
A parent or guardian fills in the form and signs the agreements for the child, and is recorded as the contact.
Who can see emergency contacts and signed forms?
The owner and admins only. Staff logins for the door see names, passes and flags, not personal details, pay rates or money totals.
