Pricing rules: discounts, group rates and bundles
Under More → Pricing and pay rules, the Prices tab holds your deals as sentences with blanks: who it is for (a group, first-timers, people with a pass), which class, what they came to earlier this week or tonight, and then what happens (sets the price, lets the door offer a price, free, or doesn't apply). Add examples to check it before switching it on. At the door, the price shows with its reason.
Steps
- Open More → Pricing and pay rules, Prices tab.
- Tap + Add a rule and pick a common deal from the list, or start blank.
- Fill in the blanks: in which groups, at which class, came to which class earlier this week or tonight, first class ever, has a pass with classes left.
- Choose what the rule does: sets the price, the door can offer a price (shown as an extra button), free, or doesn't apply. Set the price, and whether a pass or IOU is allowed.
- Tap Examples and add a few students to see what each would pay. Each example is checked against all your rules in order.
- Switch the rule on. Rules are applied in order; the first that matches wins.
Examples that studios set up
- Came to Beginner tonight → Intermediate is $11.50 (the door can offer it).
- In the Troupe group → their second class this week is free.
- First class ever → $10.
- Band night → $25, no passes (that one is a night price, not a rule).
Work out the price at the top of the rules page asks "what would this person pay at this class on this date?" with the rules as they are now, for checking a case someone asks about. Groups are set on each person's page (Edit details → Groups).
