Check a class in, in seconds
The door of a drop-in class is where every record starts and where most of them go wrong. ClassMetrix makes it one list of names on a phone: tap the name, tap cash, card, pass or IOU, done. The price is already on the button, so nobody does maths in the queue, a volunteer learns it in a minute, and the owner, wherever they are, sees who came and what they paid as it happens. New people scan a QR code and register on their own phone, waiver included.

What slows a door down
- Maths in the queue. Second class this week is half price, the couple pay once, the student has a concession. Someone works it out, or guesses.
- The forgotten pass card. Take cash from a regular who has already paid, or hold the line up looking for the card?
- New people filling in a form on a clipboard while the regulars wait behind them.
- One person can hold the sheet. Two people on the door means two sheets and a merge later.
How the door runs on ClassMetrix
- Regulars first. The people who usually come to this class at this venue are at the top. Everyone else is a tap or a search away.
- One tap for who, one for how. Cash, card, pass, IOU, free trial, comp. The price and the reason are on the button: "came to Beginner tonight, so Intermediate is half price".
- Passes that look like the card. One circle per class; tap the next one. Couples can share a pass. Forgot the card? An IOU that settles next visit.
- New people by QR code. They register on their own phone, agree to the waiver and code of conduct, and appear on the roll ready to check in.
- Two phones on one door. Both see the same list; both update it.
- Mistakes fixed quietly. Un-mark someone and it's gone; no "are you sure?" and no crossing out.
- Nothing to install. It runs in the phone's browser. Your card terminal and your cash tin keep taking the money.
What the owner gets from a fast door
Every tap at the door is the record the owner reads later: who came, what they paid, how, and so what the class made after its hall and its teachers. The door person never needs to see any of that; staff logins see names, passes and flags, not money. You get the numbers because the door was easy, not in spite of it.

Open the demo studio and check someone in: a name, then how they paid. Try a shared pass and an IOU. No sign-up.

Questions
How long does it take to check someone in?
Two taps: the name, then how they paid. The price is already on the button. A volunteer who has never seen it learns it in a minute.
Can two people run the door at once?
Yes. Any number of staff phones can be on the same class list; each check-in appears on all of them.
What about someone who forgot their pass card?
Tap IOU. They are counted tonight, and the next time they are checked in the app prompts the door to take the class off the pass.
Do I need to buy any hardware?
No. A phone with a browser. Keep the card terminal you already use; ClassMetrix records that a payment was by card, it doesn't process it.
