Add a class or venue
The short answer
Under More → Classes and venues: + Add a venue (name and address), then + Add a class: name, level, venue, day, start time, price (blank means your normal price), hall cost a night, teacher cost a night, and how many teachers and desk people it needs. Tick This is an event for a social or party.
Steps
- Open More → Classes and venues.
- If the hall isn't there yet, tap + Add a venue and give it a name and address.
- Tap + Add a class. Fill in the name, level, venue, day and start time.
- Leave the price blank for your normal drop-in price, or set this class's own.
- Enter the hall cost a night and the teacher cost a night (what you'd usually pay; used as an estimate when nobody records the teachers).
- Set how many teachers and front desk people the class needs (0 = don't track), and tap the usual teachers so they are offered first on the roll.
- Tap Save.
Good to know
- Events (socials, parties) aren't counted in retention and teachers are unpaid by default. They can carry their own night price.
- Each class date keeps the hall cost it had when it was created, so changing the rent later doesn't rewrite past months. A one-off change for one date is Venue cost on that roll.
- Retire this class keeps all its history.
- A beginner and an intermediate class on the same night are two classes, each with its own roll, teachers and costs.
