Count a cash tin

From ClassMetrix, check-in and money tracking for drop-in dance and fitness classes · 8 October 2026

The short answer

Under Money → Cash, each tin shows what it should hold: the last count, plus cash taken (including pass sales), minus cash paid out. Tap Count this tin, type what is in it, Save count. You see "Spot on", "Short by $5" or "Over by $10", and it is recorded against the tin.

Steps

  1. Open Money, then the Cash tab.
  2. On the tin, tap Count this tin.
  3. Type the amount in the tin and tap Save count.

Setting up tins

+ Add a cash tin: give it a name and, if you like, a venue, so cash taken at that venue goes into that tin. One tin per venue is the usual setup. Teachers can be paid from a tin on the pay screen, which lowers what it should hold.

Cash boxes is a feature under More → Features. Switch it off and the Cash tab disappears. The guide cash tin counts explains the routine.
