For salsa, bachata and Latin dance nights

From ClassMetrix, check-in and money tracking for drop-in dance and fitness classes · 8 October 2026

The short answer

Salsa, bachata, kizomba and Latin nights are usually a class followed by a social, at a bar or hall, with partners sharing passes and a bundle price for class-plus-party. ClassMetrix runs that door on a phone: the class roll and the social one tap apart, a bundle rule the door can see and say, shared passes, and a money page that shows what the night made after the venue, the DJ and the teachers.

Questions

How do I charge for a salsa class plus the social afterwards?

A bundle: one price for the class and the party ($35, say), a lower price for the party alone. Write it as a rule so the door sees "class + social $35" as a button, with the reason. People who were at the class are already on the roll, so the party check-in is one tap.

Can partners share a pass at a salsa class?

Yes. One pass, both people, both punches recorded against it. The door picks the partner's pass from the list of passes belonging to people here tonight.

How do I know if the Tuesday salsa night makes money?

Takings for the night (class and party, after passes and bundles) minus the venue, the DJ or band, and the teachers. ClassMetrix works this out per night and per month, with the DJ as a one-off cost against the night.
